Joyriders Therapeutic Riding Association of P.E.I.
Description: The Joyriders was founded in 1979 as an incorporated registered charity. Its aims include the promotion of riding for physically and mentally challenged people for therapeutic exercise and recreational sport. Riders are taught standard principles of horsemanship in a series of weekly lessons in spring and fall. We also provide a summer riding program to physically and mentally challenged clients from Camp Gencheff. Nationally qualified therapeutic riding instructors, a consultant therapist, and graduates of our in house volunteer training program ensure the smooth running of the program.
