Where you live in the world: British Columbia, Canada Marital status, # of kids etc.: Unmarried, straight Personal webpage url: http://joeskipsey.deviantart.com/ Comments: Diagnosed with Aspergers, though it was likely due to my advanced speech, and other traits, perhaps influencing the tester to come away saying I had Aspergers, rather than Autism. I believe Autism to be more accurate, after consulting the DSM-IV for information, though it doesn't really matter much to me. I read from a young age, spoke in full senteces when I started, and was potty-trained by my parents, offerng me a big bed like my brother's bed if I could use the potty and not diapers. Day after, they didn't need diapers for me anymore. Elementary school sucked, bullied a lot, and very painfully, nearly was trash-compacted after being beaten and tossed in a dumpster. Middle school was more bearable, less bullies, less bullying. High school has been a lot better, though I'm excited about going to College for my BA in Creative Writing. I hope to make a living off of my writing one day, so I try hard, and write much, and often. I learned how to act by taking Drama courses, and thus am able to blend with normal people fairly well, though it gets tiring. I hate talking on the phone. Hyperlexic, or close. Goal in life: Become a best-selling author, or at least have my own 15 minutes of literary fame. Currently: Fretting over Prom Current favorite thing: Dance Dance Revolution Communication: I find it easier to type than to speak to someone in person, but easier to speak to people in person than to talk on the phone. I am an avid forum-goer. Greatest achievement: I inspired someone I had never met in person, or over the phone, to become a writer and a member of the website "DeviantArt." It made me proud, happy, and just a little odd... |
