Comments: After being diagnosed, it was hard to come to terms, not with being autistic (HFA/AS) but with the preconceived ideas in regards to autism. It was a bad time, but then I began to understand a lot more about me and my honey-moon with my DX started. Now, I don't need to remind myself but still getting surprised on how and why I do things... and how I love the characteristics that make me 'me'. HFA/AS included. Won't say autism is the best thing ever happen to me, but I like being who I am. And I rock! (most of the time) |
