Judo PEI is a member of Judo Canada bringing Kodokan Judo to Prince Edward Island, Canada. Judo PEI currently has 4 clubs with 110 members participating in the sport.

News Update

April 13, 2003 – PEI Athletes win Atlantic Championship medals! The PEI Judo team won many medals at the Atlantic Championships held in Summerside on April 12.

Gold medal wins included: Alicia Wilbert(-40 kg), Sarah Laird(Cadet), Christine Wilbert (-44 kg), Frankie Gallison (2 divisions- Senior and Juvenile), Laurie Marchbank (-52kg), Amanda Coyle (2 divisions -Junior and Juvenile), Tyler Marchbank (-45 kg), Josh Lindsay (-66 kg), Adam Logan (-55 kg), Patrick Knox (+81 kg), Chris Arsenault, Charles McCardle.

Silver medals were won by Lydia Hood (-63kg), Mitchel MacAusland (-52), and Steve MacPhie (senior heavyweight)

Bronze medals were won by Mitzi Mitchell (-48), Alicia Wilbert (-42 kg), Brad Ledgerwood (-72) and Doug Marchbank (Junior)

March 8, 2003 – PEI Canada Games athletes achieve best ever results! Five medals were won by the PEI Team in individual competition.

In Team results, the PEI girls team finished fourth- once again a BEST EVER showing for the Province.
