~School Grounds~
~Pre-Registration is a must. You can register at the Rec Office in Tignish. Teams of 4. ($10/team)

6-9pm~GPS Hunt~ Pre-Registration is a must. Register @ the Rec Office. ($10/team)
~You do not need to own a GPS to play~ Rentals available for $10 each.

9pm-12am~Guitar Hero/Rock Band Competition- 16-18 years
~ Tignish Legion~ ($5/person)
~Entertainment by: D.J. Shea
~Are you a guitar hero or rock band fan? Come on out and compete in our guitar hero competition. Money prizes will be awarded.

~An afternoon of fun and games: face painting, potato sack races, obstacle courses, three-legged races, crafts, water games and much more.

Do you like Guitar Hero? Come on out to compete in a guitar hero competition. Money prizes awarded. Then stick around for some entertainment. Music by: Joey & Joey.

~ Tignish Legion~ It’s a fun-filled night of bluegrass music.

7am~Distribution of Yard Sale Maps~
Eugene’s Drive Thru

8-11am ~Community Wide Yard Sale~
Drop by the Tignish Recreation Office to get put onto the yard sale map ($10/location) by June 25th.

8-11am~Pancake Breakfast~ Shirley’s Café

10:30am~Pancake Flipping Contest~ Shirley’s Café
~Come on out to see the pageant contestants compete to win the pancake flipping contest.

10-11am~Character Show~ Tignish Parish Centre ~($5/person)
~There will be 2 different character shows featuring “Your Backyard Friends, the Backyardigans”. After the show there will be a Photo Shoot with your favourite characters~ Photos are $5 each

11:30am-1pm~Soccer Kick~ School Grounds
~Pre-Registration is a must. Register @ The Rec Office.

1pm~Pet Parade~ Fishermen’s Haven Park
~Come on out and show off your pets in their favourite clothing in a parade, Prizes awarded~

1pm~Beach Day~ Fishermen’s Haven Park
~There will be fun for the whole family! Sandcastles with artist Maurice Bernard, Games, Music, Beach Volleyball, Chinese Golf, Inflatables, a canteen and much more!

2-5pm~50/50 Bingo~Tignish Legion

6pm~Pageant-Talent~Credit Union Arena ~($5/person OR $15 for a Week End pass)

6-8pm~Family Beach Party~Fishermen’s Haven Park
~Everyone loves a bonfire, so come out to our family beach party! There will be fun and games for everyone. All you pirates and princesses bring a sweater incase it gets chilly!

9pm~Jimmy Flynn/Dance~ Credit Union Arena
~Tickets $20 (Dance Included)~
~It’s a night of hand clapping, foot stomping, until your side’s split music and comedy. Canada’s top Musical & Comedy Act. Don’t miss The Funny Fisherman. You’ll never laugh this hard again.~ For ticket information contact the recreation office @ (902) 882-2476

8:30-10:30am~Character Breakfast~ Tignish Legion
~Breakfast served by many of your favourite princesses and pirates. There will also be a photo shoot during the breakfast. Photos are $5 each. Kids, don’t forget to dress up as your favourite character!

10am-12pm~Ball Hockey Tournament~ Ages 5-9
~Pre-registration is a must, Register at the Rec Office.

11am~Church~

12-3pm~Garden Tea Party (Quilt &Art Show)
~Heritage Inn Gardens~
~View the gardens during this garden tea party, where there will be a quilt show and art show set up all through the gardens. Take in the PLANT SALE while your there.~

1pm~Parade~
~Get ready for the 2008 Pirate & Princess Parade like never before!~
*Note: The parade route has changed this year. The parade will now begin at the Liquor Store, it will proceed up Church St., and end at Judy’s Take Out.

~Credit Union Arena Grounds~
For the first time in a long time there will be rides set up on the Credit Union Arena grounds. All sorts of inflatables will be there for a full afternoon. Also there will be many game booths set up with lot’s of cool prizes. Don’t miss this afternoon!

2:15pm~Petting Zoo~ Credit Union Arena Grounds
~The Tignish 4-H Club will be having a petting zoo, showing off their own animals.~
