Recording & Bands
  Thunderbolt Sound Studio
The cassette tape,"BACK HOME"was recorded on 4 track and DAT machine at my home studio, "Thunderbolt Sound" in Strathcona PEI. Reproduction of the "Back Home"DAT master was done at Canatron in Ottawa in 1999.

Thunderbolt Sound has been updated with the addition of a Roland eight track digital V Studio with CD burner, a Marshal studio condenser mike, studio grade head phones and Yorkville YSM-1 studio monitors since my own cassette was made.

Sound and studio equipment includes Koss & Audio-Technica headphones, Makie, Sennheiser, Sure, Electrovoice, Alesis, Roland, Fender, Peavey, Yorkville and Yamaha components as well as some home made electronics, adapters and speaker systems. Electric bass and acoustic and guitar guitars are available and I will play on tracks when requested.

It is possible to go from scratch to a CD or DAT master for reproduction here without spending a fortune.
A short course in recording at Windwood Sound and years of reading and experimenting give me a sound base to work from.
I can also supply sound equipment at small venues for benefits and ceilidhs and such.

           HOMECOMING

A combination of former members of the Thunderbolts, the Gpoup and others will form a band to provide the music for this years homecoming dance in Georgetown on August 3rd 2002 at The Three Rivers Sportplex.
It should be a blast from the past!
I hope to see a lot of old friends there.
  BANDS THROUGH THE YEARS\
I have been playing guitar and singing at dances since the first band "the Royaltones"in 1960. Then I was with the "Thunderbolts" from 1961 to 1964. Bands since then have included "The Group"(65-68), "The Rock Formasion", "Music Incorporation", "Country Dream",""Reunion", Sundown", The Garth Gillis Band", "Nightline", "Footloose" and the present day " Freewheelin"as well as some other very short lived projects.
In 1987 a Thunderbolt reunion dance was held at the Montague High School.
It was sponsored by the Montague Knights of Columbus and was very much enjoyed by all.
For members of the Thunderbolts it was a first time they all played together since 1964.
Only two of the original members were'nt involved in that reunion.

Freewheelin plays at Kaylee Hall in Pool's Corner as well as Souris Legion and other places depending on bookings.
We are available to play for weddings and dances where a dance band is wanted to keep the floor filled with folks having a good time. Our music is a mix of old rock and roll, country.
