ARLENE CURLEY |
Arlene Curley made her first professional appearances at the age of 5 singing
for the customers at Griff's Diner on Fitzroy St. in Charlottetown. She was
collecting the handsome sum of 25 cents per song there at the time. |

She now sings in the Freewheelin band with me and does some work running karaoke
in various bars in Charlottetown from time to time. She and Maggie Longaphee provided the back up singing on my recording, "Back Home". In July 1995, Arlene won 2nd. place in the talent contest at the Summerside Lobster Carnival. She was urged by friends and family members to enter the contest again this year and on the twentieth of July 2002 she came away with the first prize. In addition to the trophy and monetary reward she received a voucher for 10 hours free recording time at Sandcastle Studio in Borden PEI. Planning to utilize this time will soon begin. The recording project may be continued at my own Thunderbolt Sound studio to complete a CD. The decisions to make a demo only or a full length CD and if to use unrecorded or cover material are not made yet. (Aug 15) If you have written a country or blues type song that she could record, for a demo or CD, please contact me to discuss it. |
