About UsHi, My name is Copthorne ("Cop") Macdonald and back in 1995 I created The Wisdom Page to provide Internet access to wisdom-related resources. The "Us" in "About Us" refers to the many contributors who have so generously made their materials available to others through The Wisdom Page, and to the Wisdom Page

the years, the contributors, Board members, and I have worked together
to increase the site's impact,
and we've been making progress. Originally part of www.cop.com —
a website that was home to both my personal website (now at www.copmacdonald.com)
and The Wisdom Page — The Wisdom Page now has its own domain and
internet address: www.wisdompage.com. As I write
this, a Google.com search for the single word "wisdom" returns
about 100 million pages. The Wisdom Page is consistently in the top 10
of those 100 million, on the first page of the search returns. This makes
it an easy-to-reach destination for individuals searching for information
on wisdom. Each month the website is visited more than 12,000 times by
people from some 90 countries. More than 200 repeat visitors have signed
up to receive monthly newsletters telling them about the latest additions
to the site. Many others, via automatic RSS feed, receive those updates
the day they occur. Also each month, more than 20,000 requests for electronic
documents (including wisdom-related doctoral dissertations and free eBook
editions of my wisdom-related books) are successfully filled. Suggestions for additions to the site (documents, links, audio, or video materials) are appreciated, but only those considered appropriate to the theme of the site and useful to visitors will be used. Links to The Wisdom Page from other sites are also appreciated, but The Wisdom Page doesn't "trade links." Create a link to The Wisdom Page if you feel it would be helpful to your site's visitors. Naturally, there are costs involved in keeping The Wisdom Page going and expanding. Donations are not expected, but they are, of course, gratefully accepted. The donation process is explained here. The images and text provided to Internet users through wisdompage.com belong to various parties and are covered by copyright. The copyright holders want you to have online access to these materials, but do not want their other rights compromised. Consequently, permission is granted only for personal viewing by individuals who receive these materials through direct Internet transmission from the wisdompage.com Web site. Copying of pictures or text to disk, paper, or any other medium for use by others is not permitted without prior written permission of the copyright holder.
