Trent was first and foremost an Islander. Even when the Island lost him to Toronto, Trent became a volunteer Island ambassador who passed on the magic and wonder of our beautiful Island to anyone who was privileged enough to meet this dynamic and cultured person.

Trent was comfortable relating his many Island stories, some known to be true some not known to be true, to anyone and anywhere. He loved to travel so rest assured that Prince Edward Island stories span the globe. His charm and friendly manners made it impossible to not want to spend time listening and exploring the mind of Trent Hurry.

He was not only creative in relating “The Island Way of Life” but also in film. Trent worked in the film industry for many years. The films Trent was involved with were many but the films he was personally proud of were A Touch of Pink (2004), Perfect Pie (2002), Treed Murray (2001), and The Red Violin (1999).

Trent will be remembered as a friendly caring Islander with the ability to make anyone with him feel like the most important person in the world. Those who knew and loved Trent will miss him beyond words. Trent, rest knowing you were loved by so many. You made a difference for the better my friend.
