Makem & Spain Brothers come to Mainstage

    picture

One band is driving Irish folk songs into the 21st century. That band is the Makem & Spain Brothers. The Irish folk music group comes to the Mainstage on October 10 as the second act of the 2008-2009 PEI Presents season.

“The Makem Brothers with Mickey and Liam Spain are the definitive Irish folk singers of their generation,” says the NY Chronicle. The three Makem brothers are the sons of music legend Tommy Makem. A host of instruments and five male vocals, using precise three-part harmonies, blend for what many have described as a wall of sound.

The Makem & Spain Brothers play October 10 at 8 pm on the Mainstage.
