Over the years, athletes who are physically challenged from P.E.I. have achieved national and international recognition in sport. Recreation participation is enhanced and developed through a variety of local programs and provincial events.
* To assist, via the staff of PEIRSAPC, other organizations and professionals
in the planning and implementation of
recreation/sport programs designed to meet the needs of
persons who are physically challenged.
* To provide the required resources to ensure participation of members in recreation and sport.
* To serve as the provincial advocate for sport and recreation for the Physically Challenged.
* To serve as the primary contact to the various levels of government in sport and recreation.
1) The provision of required resources to strengthen inclusive program
opportunities in local communities. Requests for the
initiation and development of local programs are
encouraged and welcomed from potential participants and groups.
2) The direct coordination of programs (e.g.. Wheelchair Basketball / Goalball / Other competitions).

Demonstrations:
Presentations to groups and/or sport demonstrations are offered upon request and availability of resources.
The Association employs two full time professional staff:

Tracy Guimond, Programs and Administrative Coordinator
Virtually all programs offered through and supported by the Association are carried out by volunteers and participants. In recognition of their essential service, volunteers are assisted through administrative support, reimbursement of expenses incurred, and the provision of resources and appropriate training.
